During this month, Ms. Chantel’s class explored some of the very important objects around us, which are, the different means of transport. Through this topic, the children went on a learning journey and gained knowledge about the different types of transport (land transport, air transport and sea transport). Including also, their importance in our life and certain signs which one must follow and make use of, such as, the zebra crossing and the traffic lights. Furthermore, the children made various crafts and also made edible traffic lights as can be seen in the photos.

L-istorja hija bbażata fuq gurilla li jgħix ġo żu flimkien m’annimali oħra. Il-gwardjan mar fuq kull wieħed mill-annimali u tagħhom il-lejl it-tajjeb u sakkarhom ġol-gaġeġ. Kull gaġġa kellha katnaz u ċavetta differenti għal kull wieħed. Il-gurilla minn wara l-gwardjan beda jiftħilhom u kollha marru inkiss inkiss id-dar tal-gwardjan biex jorqdu fis-sħana.
It-tfal tgħallmu il-kuluri, l-annimali u ftit umoriżmu b’din l-istorja. It-tfal flimkien mal-għalliema tagħhom Ms Audrey u Ms Raisa ippreparaw gurilla sandwich li setgħu jieklu … u dak li għamlu lkoll hekk kif marru lura d-dar u wrewha lil tal-familja.
L-iskola tagħna ħadet sehem f’Code Week fejn it-tfal ta’ etajiet differenti hadu sehem f’attivitajiet relatati ma’ dan is-suġġett flimkien mal-għalliema tagħhom u bl-għajnuna tas-support teacher is-Sir Antoine Grech. Agħfas hawn sabiex taraw ftit it-tfal tagħna waqt li qed imeddu idejhom għax-xogħol u jitgħalmu fl-istess ħin
Shapes was the main topic for this activity held in Ms Margaret`s class. The children enjoyed programming the Bee Bot. Whilst working out this activity the children recognised and described the shapes being used. The use of the Bee-Bot helped them to learn more about directions whilst counting the steps it needs to take to reach the right destination.
The little ones truly enjoyed learning shapes in this very playful and fun way.
This activity gave the children the opportunity to be creative while practice maths and science skills. We used healthy food like bread, cheese spread mixed with tomato paste, carrots, tomatoes and olives.
The round bun was divided in half and it became a circle for the faces. The children were exploring the mixture of light yellow spread cheese with tomato paste, the result was a peach paste. The use of one orange carrot for the nose, two green olives for the eyes and one piece of red tomatoes for the mouth helped children practice counting & colours. With a good hand and eye co-ordination the children made the perfect faces and later enjoyed eating it.
