Summit tal-EkoSkola

Nhar il-Ġimgħa, 28 ta’ Marzu, erbat itfal tal-EkoSkola marru f’lukanda l-Meridien sabiex jipparteċipaw f’summit tal-EkoSkola f’San Ġiljan. Dawn kienu Kayliegh, Halen, Jael u jien Haylee. L-għalliema li ġew magħna kienu Ms Brenda u Ms Maroushka.

Iltqajna ma’ ħafna iktar skejjel li għandhom il-kumitat tal-EkoSkola. L-ewwel attendejna għall-bidu tal-attività f’sala enormi fejn smajna dwar il-pjan t’azzjoni li jħaddan fih l-EkoSkola. Wara ħadna brejk u inqsamna fi gruppi skond it-tema li ħdimna dwarha fil-kumitat tal-iskola tagħna. Kulħadd iddiskuta l-ideat tiegħu mal-grupp. Il-grupp tal-iskola tagħna tkellem dwar l-użu siewi tal-ilma peress li f’dawn l-aħħar snin ħdimna ħafna fuq din it-tema.

Tgħallimna ħafna u din il-ġurnata tibqa’ f’moħħna għax kellna l-opportunità li niltaqgħu ma’ tfal minn skejjel oħra kif ukoll ma’ Ministri li għandhom x’jaqsmu mat-temi tal-EkoSkola.

Where do pets come from?

It is reported that the following edition of the Book of Genesis was discovered in the Dead Seal Scrolls.  If authentic, it would shed light on the question, “Where do pets come from?”

And Adam said, “Lord, when I was in the garden, you walked with me everyday.  Now I do not see you anymore.  I am lonesome here and it is difficult for me to remember how much you love me.”

And God said, “No problem!  I will create a companion for you that will be with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will know I love you, even when you cannot see me.  Regardless of how selfish and childish and unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourself.”

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased. And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and he wagged his tail.  And Adam said, “But Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and all the good names are taken and I cannot think of a name for this new animal.” And God said, “No problem!  Because I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a  reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG.”

An Angel Visits Mary

The feast of the Annunciation reminds us of when the Arcangel Gabriel announced that Our Lady had been chosen to be the Mother of Christ.  It is one of the most important feasts of Our Lady. By saying yes to the angel, Our Lady had accepted the plan that God had prepared. Jesus started living in the womb of his holy mother. The date of this feast was chosen because it is exactly nine months before Christmas Day. A baby lives for nine months in his mother’s womb before he is born. Jesus was no different. This important visit took place in the city of Nazareth, when Mary was a teenager still living in the house of her parents. She was engaged to get married to Joseph, the carpenter. When we say the Hail Mary, we are reminded of this special episode in the life of Our Lady.
