The Assessment and HW policy was developed in 2009. The learning that goes on at school ought to be assessed, not only for the teacher to have feedback if the lesson delivered was understood, but also to ensure that each child knows at which stage of learning s/he is at. Parents/guardians not only have the right to know what learning is going on at school, but they have the obligation to be part of their own children’s education. Parents ought to make sure that the work given to the pupils is done at home and brought on time. A school-home link, based on respect, is important for the child’s progression at school, for a better future for those entrusted to our care.
